Without the use of paints, Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto (aka “Vhils”) depicts, or rather, sculpts expressive faces on the walls of dilapidated buildings. He’s now one of the biggest names in the street art world, having had work featured on the cover of The Times after passing through London, Italy, USA and other countries. In Lisbon, his first major work is on Rua de Cascais in Alcântara near the Santo Amaro Docks and represents the American street artist Brad Downey, his friend.
